The Samsung Galaxy S22 is a really attractive smartphone. Its exemplary design, lightness, quality of finish and, above all, its compactness make it a particularly pleasant model in the hand. It also benefits from IP68 certification and a very nice matte back, not to mention a bright display up front with controlled colors. This natural evolution of the Galaxy S21 benefits from a slightly increased autonomy compared to the old one, and we forgive the fact that it does not charge very fast, which compensates for the battery capacity. However, it’s hard to forgive it for its night photography performance, without finally being too flashy, as well as its half-mast performance in the mobile gaming department, points that are highly expected of it. But like the entire range, this Galaxy S22 has good durability, especially justified by the four years of software updates announced by the manufacturer.
Strong points
- Very nice compact size.
- Very nice AMOLED screen.
- Autonomy is very correct in its format.
Weak points
- Other than that, all S22s benefit from charging at 45W.
- Exynos 2200 performance.
- Nightography is not really up to expectations.

Like its predecessor, the Google Pixel 7 is a great smartphone. It benefits from a beautiful display, a powerful SoC and a pair of very good photo sensors. In addition, its pricing position makes it more affordable than the vast majority of its high-end competitors without any real compromises. We can certainly blame it on gaming fever, always slow charging, or too much similarity to the Pixel 6, but these flaws are much less in terms of the overall experience, which is more intuitive on Android 13.
