The Samsung Galaxy S22 is currently super priced thanks to the winter sales

During this winter sale, one of Samsung’s 2022 flagships, the Galaxy S22, is presented at a very attractive price: it is offered at Électro Dépôt for 629 euros instead of 809 euros.

It’s not a surprise anymore, but since prices naturally drop, it’s better to wait a few months to pay less for a smartphone that catches our eye. This is the case, for example, with the Samsung Galaxy S22: released in early 2022, this premium smartphone, equipped with a 120 Hz screen and good power, is presented at a more attractive price. During this winter sales, thanks were reduced to 180 euros.

Advantages of OLED in a compact smartphone

The Samsung Galaxy S22, first of all, adopts quite small dimensions compared to other premium references located in the same price range. So we have a 6.1-inch screen right, which allows you to slip it into your pocket. It’s not as compact as the iPhone mini, but its diagonal, almost 7 inches, will still be very pleasant for those who do not want to hold a device in their hands.

The main asset of this design is still this AMOLED panel, framed by very thin borders and equipped with a Full HD + image (2,340 x 1,080 pixels). This screen also benefits from an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, which ensures very good fluidity on the screen of applications. Otherwise, everything is protected by tough Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+.

Strong performance but average battery life

When it comes to performance, the Galaxy S22 is powered by an Exynos 2200 SoC (and 5G compatible) etched at 4nm, which offers good multitasking power. Powerful programs will run without any problems. However, the results aren’t much better in terms of graphics performance, and some slowdowns are to be feared in some games, such as Fortnite. With its One UI 4 interface, Android 12 promises a very fluid user experience.

To continue the work of all these wonderful people, we still have to deal with average autonomy, because the 3700 mAh battery will not allow the smartphone to work for a full day with intensive use. We will console ourselves with the fast charging (up to 25 W) and wireless charging that will be available, but we should keep the charger close to you just in case.

A photo part that completes it all

The photo part allows you to capture the Samsung Galaxy S22: thanks to three 50 + 12 + 10 megapixel sensors (wide angle, ultra wide angle and x3 telephoto) located on the left edge of the smartphone. The device provides versatility, noting the good level of detail recorded in the shots captured by the main sensor. In short, we have a good photophone here, even if the dynamic range control is sometimes uneven on several lenses.
