Samsung wins Sustainable Product Award for innovation towards a sustainable future with ocean-recycled plastic incorporated into Samsung Galaxy Technology

Samsung Electronics announced the winner of the award SEAL Business Sustainability Award 2022 to turn discarded fishing nets into high-performance recycled material used in Galaxy devices.

Judged annually by a panel of sustainability and environmental, social and governance (ESG) experts, the SEAL Awards recognize the most impactful sustainability initiatives and the best companies driving environmental progress. In collaboration with like-minded organizations, Samsung created a new material from recycled ocean-bound plastic and met its high quality standards.
